CREAMY VEGAN GARLIC DRESSING - EASY RECIPE

You need a great, vegan dressing for your salads, falafels, wraps, and so many other things. You just do - and of course there should be garlic in it! Oh, and you actually need some fat to absorb vitamins A, D, E, and K, so a great dressing is a must for a healthy salad.


This dressing is so creamy and delicious that we almost can't believe it's vegan, and the great thing is that all the fats come from healthy nuts and seeds!


This is a quick and easy recipe for our favourite creamy vegan garlic dressing for fresh tossed salads, healthy vegan wraps, and much more. The dressing is, of course, plant based, and it features lovely things such as hemp seeds, cashews, and garlic. 


This recipe is almost too easy, and it's great with our easy vegan salad.


Let's get mixin'.


Ingredients:


  • Juice from 1 lemon
  • 30 g (1 oz) shelled hemp seeds
  • 30 g (1 oz) cashews
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 300 ml (1.25 cups) unsweeted soy milk
  • 0.5 tsp. salt
  • 0.5 tsp. ground pepper 
  • 0.5 tbsp. onion powder
  • 1 tbsp. vegan mayo (optional)
  • Small handful fresh parsley (optional)


Instructions:


  1. Squeeze the lemon, and add the juice to a blender.
  2. Add all the other ingredients to the blender.
  3. Blend until completely smooth.
  4. Add the dressing to a pot. Bring to a boil and let it simmer while stirring for 5-10 minutes. This makes the dressing much creamier.
  5. Let cool.
  6. Toss the dressing on your salad, in your wrap, or whatever you want and enjoy!
