TROPICAL VEGAN SMOOTHIE

We often make green smoothies full of kale, spinach, and other lovely green stuff.

But this time we wanted to do something entirely different. It's full of healthy ingredients while having that lovely taste and colour of all the tropical fruits we all love!

For the fun of of it, and because we were about to see the Lion King (2019) movie, we decorated our smootie bowl with flax seeds, chia seeds, and almonds in honour of Simba! 

Ingredients:


  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 200 g (7 oz) frozen mango
  • 200 g (7 oz) frozen pineapple
  • 4 small carrots
  • 1 small yellow capsicum
  • 40 g (1.4 oz) shelled hempseeds
  • 40 g (1.4 oz) golden flaxseeds
  • 40 g (1.4 oz) oats
  • 40 g (1.4 oz) sunflower seeds
  • 300 ml (10 fl. oz) orange juice
  • 300 ml (10 fl. oz) plant milk



Instructions:


  1. Pour all the ingredients in your blender and blend well for a few minutes.
  2. Drink it from a glass or bowl with a straw (a reusable one of course).
  3. Enjoy!
