Here is our favourite and easy vegan protein shake.
A lot of vegan food is packed with protein, but if you need that extra boost after a workout or just want a healthy, protein-rich snack or breakfast, this easy-to-make vegan protein shake is perfect for you.
Protein shakes can have many flavours, and we think we've tried them all, but this chocolate one is probably our favourite. The shake is based on vegan chocolate milk without added sugar. The sweetness comes from bananas instead. Where we live, we can buy Yosa's oat-based vegan cocoa. Another option is to use plain oat milk while adding an extra tbsp of raw cacao powder.
For this shake, we use hemp protein powder, which most people don't like the taste of. Fortunately, we found that you can't taste it when using the right combination of ingredients, but it still provides incredible an amount of nutrients. We've added tasteless rice and pea potein as well. Since the shake also contains a mix of super seeds, the protein content comes from more sources than just the protein powder.
This shake provides a complete protein and yields a total of 44.2 g (1.56 oz) of protein.
Lets get started!

*If you only have one kind of protein powder, you can use 2 tbsp. of that.
